I’m Guilty of neglecting this blog. As you can see, I hardly ever update it anymore. I’m also guilty of spending way too much time in the new Corning California Message Board.

To me, message boards are a lot more fun, in fact, they are addicting. Stop in and read a post or two and you will see what I mean. I can’t help but to log in several times a day to keep up on the latest posts.

Check it out for yourself, I’ll give you the URL:

SO.. Don’t forget to register so that you can post, it only takes a minute, and it’s free.

A few days ago… I was at the home of Meryl Haggard. It was a cool experience. It was just a business thing, but being in the same room with him was cool just the same. I have enough respect for him to where I didn’t ask for his autograph, in fact, I didn’t say anything to him personally. But I fealt priveleged to be in the same room with this man.
Don’t bother asking questions. I would never say anything about him, his place, or anything that I’ve seen or experienced while I was there. I respect his privacy, but I will say this. I have been to many concerts, and being at the home of a star (specially this man) gives you a totally different feeling. I will never forget this experience. That’s all I will say! Thought it was blog worthy anyway 🙂

Isn’t it ironic?

I found this amusing, you may not!

My friend Donny stopped in tonight and the topic quickly went to the existence of God, as it usually does when he comes over. This doesn’t bother me, in fact, I usually bring it on myself. As an agnostic, I still try to keep an open mind to this whole God thing. I refuse to brainwash myself, but on the other hand, I try not to build up a wall either.
So, the conversation consisted of his reasons why he believes in the existence of God, and why I do not.
Shortly after this conversation, he had to leave to pack for a trip, and I decided to make a quick run down to the local quick stop and pick up a couple of beers.
Here is my receipt from that beer run. I know, it’s just coincidence, but seriously…

Isn’t it ironic?

WOW!

I just cropped my head out of a photo and observed it for a while. Only one
way to describe myself.

Damn, I’m good looking 🙂

You could possibly dispute this fact, but you’d be falsifying the truth. Discuss!

I took this photo at Corning Ford. I was playing around with night shooting. Did I mention how much I love my camera? I do that a lot.

Donny borrowed it a while back and liked it more then his own. Will he admit that? It took me a while to get it back. I feel the same way about his iPhone. Anyway… If you are in to photography and have a budget under $900.00 for the camera body then I would recommend the Nikon D80. It’s one step above my D70s, nearly the same camera, only it’s a 10.xMP, so it’s a little better.
My camera, lenses, and batteries all together ran me under $1800.00 when I bought it a year or so back. Right now you can get the D80 body for $900.00 and a good lens for about $600.00 more. 1500 for a killer camera setup that will make you look like a pro every shot is a good deal in my book!
If money is no object then you might as well take it a step further and buy the Nikon D200. It’s a little out of my budget, but it is a Killer Camera. I promise you that one will put a dent in your pocket book. I still think the D80 is the best bang for the buck. Donny may disagree! We’ll find out soon I’m sure 🙂
